Day 8 - Albuquerque to Tucumcari, New Mexico

Last night we spent the night in a retro Airstream camper at the Enchanted Trails RV Park.  We have stopped there several times in our motorhome.  We had been thinking about downsizing, but now I think we may be happy with a 40 foot motorhome.  It was very cute and tastefully decorated.   It was small and the bed was slightly larger than a twin size.  We did not have a heater and it was cool last night.  It was on my bucket list to stay in a retro trailer....check that one off!

We drove Route 66 through downtown Albuquerque and it had road work most of the way.  There is a movement to improve Route 66 so that is a good thing.  We love the vintage motels and businesses along the way.

A storm chased us from Albuquerque to Santa Rosa.  The radar shows major storms coming our way.
We drove through several rain storms and decided to stop early tonight in Tucumcari.

We stopped in Santa Rosa at a Route 66 Museum.  They had a huge room full of cars.  I will post a few.  After all, how many pictures of cars can one have.  Is 740 too many???  I am reallllly glad Mike did not want a new corvette!
