Glen Canyon, Lone Rock and Horseshoe Bend
These 3 areas are absolutely beauitiful. Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon are in Arizona. Lone Rock is in Utah.
Horseshoe Bend is an overlook, which means you have to walk about 3/4 of a mile through the desert to see it. It is worth the walk there but the walk back is a little long.

Those small blimps on the water are rafts with about 10 people in them. As we watched there was quite a few of these rafts and canoes going down the river. By the way this is the Colorado River. All of a sudden some "chick" gets in the camera shot.
We watched the river for a while and watched the people taking pictures over the edge of the canyon. The view is straight down with no hope of survival if you fall. Most of the visitors are from Europe, so the speech is in different languages, kind of strange.
Glen Canyon is a dam on the Colorado with a really neat visitor center.
There is an outside platform to take pictures. Its a long way down!!
The bridge over the river seems to be unconcerning until you see it from a different angle.
When we were leaving, Deb found a dog that see loved. It was a Gordan Setter, I think.
Lone rock is in Utah, which is about 10 miles away.
Some of the cactus are in bloom.
There are two power plants that are evident on the way, you can see them for a long way.
We finally get there..............
The area is all sand but you can dry camp there. That means no electricity, water or sewer.
The Lone Rock really is huge................... see the boat in the foreground?
We 4 wheeled up the sand dune, Deb wasn't impressed, and had a snack and took some more pictures.
All in all it was a neat day for walking around and seeing things we haven't seen before and that's what its all about.................. another Day in Our Lives.
