Antelope Canyon
Today is a little windy, glad we aren't driving the motor home, so we went to see Antelope Canyon. The canyon is out in the desert outside of Page, Arizona. Page is on the Arizona/Utah border. The difference in the temperatures are due to the elevation, yesterday in Flagstaff we were at 7400 feet and today we are at about 4000 feet. The temps today got to about 80 degrees. Nice. We got there on 4 wheel drive trucks driven and owned by the Navajo Nation Tribes.
This area floods in the fall with about 100 feet of water flowing through these canyons. It rearranges and alters all of the sandstone every year. It is amazing. The sun shines through the canyon and makes columns of light all the way to the canyon floor.
As I said, it was windy so we got sand blasted as we walked around the canyon. That dust that you see is sand coming from up above.
The canyon structures look like abstract forms designed by God for us to be in awe of.

Then you exit the same way you go in, really a neat afternoon of site seeing.
And so ends another................... well you know the rest.
