Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

We arrived late to Gettysburg National Park, but just in time to see a movie and experience the Cyclorama Sound and Light Show.  We stood in the middle of a round room with a mural painted on the walls.  There was a narrative with lights and sound of a Civil War Battle.  Very impressive.









On the way out I took a picture with my cousin.

 We then went to the National Cemetery and had an hour tour by a registered guide.  I swear I smelled smoke.

KOA - Pomona, California

OK ................ here we go again. Well the rally is over and now we traveled all the way to the KOA campground right outside the fairplex, about a half mile from where we were. We are set up and now is time to get groceries, do laundry and all that stuff we have to do after a week of "dry camping", without electricity, water or sewer. The weather is very nice, about mid 70's with no clouds. We are camping next to Mike and Sue. Here we are with Mike & Sue gambling illegally in the state of California.

Blue Earth, Minnesota

Hi, after leaving the Corn Palace we traveled on to Moline.  We stayed one night in Welcome, Minnesota so that we could put Minnesota on our travel map.  Imagine my excitement when we saw a sign, "Blue Earth, Exit Here for the Home of the Green Giant."  They do not give you an advance notice as it is just over the county line and the previous county does not allow advertising signs.  Mike whipped off the interstate and we found a parking space in front of a 60 foot Giant.  There was a small gift shop and the lady behind the counter said they were canning peas.  When the pea crop is depleted, they will change over to canning corn.  I almost bought a green shirt that said, "Ho, Ho, Ho.
