Astrid's Volley Ball Game

This is the first year for Astrid to play volley ball.  She is a natural athelete like her mama.  It was such a pleasure to be able to attend her games.  The greatest thing I dislike about traveling in the motor home is that I am far away from the Grand Kids.  I fly whenever I can, but I feel I am missing a big portion of their lives.  We also, fly them to where we are a couple times a year, so I do get to see them.  It is never enough.  So, I hope Mike is prepared to buy me more plane tickets.


Astrid's sister is Amber and Amber is the mother of Parker.  Michelle loves Amber and Parker and is a proud "Grandma."  Amber and Parker came to the volley ball game.

Parker has the prettiest blue eyes!

Mike, Mike and Don After spending time with family, we thought Mike's Dad was doing much better, so we traveled a few hours north of Dallas to visit our Oklahoma friends Pat and Mike Bowline.  We stayed near a huge lake in Oklahoma called Grand Lake.  We played a lot of Pitch and laughed alot. KOA - Pomona, California

OK ................ here we go again. Well the rally is over and now we traveled all the way to the KOA campground right outside the fairplex, about a half mile from where we were. We are set up and now is time to get groceries, do laundry and all that stuff we have to do after a week of "dry camping", without electricity, water or sewer. The weather is very nice, about mid 70's with no clouds. We are camping next to Mike and Sue. Here we are with Mike & Sue gambling illegally in the state of California.

Chris LeDoux Park Dedication

Saturday, over 1,000 people filled the little town of Kaycee, Wyoming for the dedication of a park in Chris LeDoux's honor.  Chris died in 2005. Chris LeDoux was a genuine singing cowboy and rodeo champion.  Mike has loved his music long before Garth Brooks sang about him in a song.  We stayed in Kaycee for 11 days.  It was a great honor to meet the family and talk to the relatives.  Across the street from the park is Chris LeDoux's father-in-laws store, "The Rusty Spur."  He is a wonderful man that reminded me of my Grandpa.  He sits on his stool by the counter and there are two rocking chairs beside him just inviting people to sit and stay for awhile.  We loved going in there.  The horse, "Stormy Weather" is standing on a Guild Guitar which is engraved on the side, "beneath these western skies."
